How we decide what to publish

Editorial authority is the product. These are the rules that protect it.

Last updated 1 August 2026

Editorial independence

ClubCXO independently selects the leadership news it publishes. Decisions about what to cover, how to cover it and what to leave out are made by the editorial desk.

No advertiser, partner, subject or commercial client has approval over ClubCXO’s independent editorial coverage, and none sees it before publication.

Submissions

Anyone may submit a leadership move. There is no fee for submitting, and there is no fee for ordinary editorial consideration.

Submission does not guarantee publication. We publish a fraction of what is submitted, and the reason is usually significance or verification rather than quality of the submission.

  • We verify every appointment against a public source before publishing.
  • We may contact the executive or the organisation to confirm details.
  • We do not publish appointments that we cannot independently corroborate.
  • We do not accept payment to publish, expedite or amend a leadership move.

Commercial features

ClubCXO sells two editorial products: Executive Spotlight and Leadership Story. These are commissioned, produced with the participation of the subject, and paid for.

Paid partnerships do not guarantee favourable editorial coverage. They do not influence which leadership moves are covered, how an executive is written about elsewhere on the site, or whether a submitted move is published.

Commercial features are identified as Partner Feature wherever they appear — on the article, on cards linking to it, and in social sharing.

Contributed and interview content

Some Insights are written by named executives rather than by the ClubCXO desk. These are labelled Contributed and are not commissioned commercially.

Conversations are edited for length and clarity. We do not change the substance of what a person said, and we publish transcripts so that editing choices are visible.

Accuracy and corrections

We aim to be accurate on first publication and to correct promptly when we are not. Corrections can be requested by anyone, including the subject of an article.

Where a correction changes the substance of a story, we say what changed rather than quietly amending the text.

Personal information

ClubCXO covers people in their professional capacity. We do not publish personal phone numbers, personal email addresses, home addresses or other private contact details for executives, and we remove them from submissions.
