Trellis Digital has appointed Farah Mistry as chief human resources officer, effective 12 August 2026. Mistry joins from Arclight Systems, where she ran compensation and benefits for four years and was previously an HR business partner to the engineering organisation.
Trellis employs about 4,000 people and has grown substantially through acquisition, accumulating eleven separate salary bands in the process. The company has acknowledged in its own disclosures that pay for comparable engineering roles varied materially depending on which acquired entity originally issued the contract.
Mistry has argued that rebanding exercises of this kind are consistently mispriced by finance teams because the cost of the inequity is already being paid, invisibly, through attrition and replacement hiring. She has also removed the phrase “culture fit” from interview rubrics at a previous employer, on the grounds that it was never defined precisely enough to be assessed.
