Meridian Bank has appointed Ananya Iyer deputy chief financial officer with effect from 20 January 2026, while retaining her responsibility for treasury.
The bank described the appointment as part of a planned succession ahead of the retirement of its long-serving chief financial officer. Iyer joined Meridian in 2022 from Arka Capital, where she had run investor relations after a decade covering financials as a sell-side analyst.
Her treasury mandate has centred on extending the bank’s liability profile and reducing dependence on bulk deposits, at a time when its small-business loan book has grown faster than its deposit franchise.
